Dear Peter,
Thank you for taking the time to listen to our new single.
(MP3 streamed above).
Streaming your music
MP3 Streaming
Make your life (and the person you email) easier by streaming your music like the example below:
Streaming your music for A&R acceptance

So you want to send your music to management and record labels right? You have joined a database site of some kind and have a massive long list of people to contact, and better still, you have their email addresses so no embarrassing phone calls?
Hold fire on the send button, especially if there is an MP3 attached! Why? Simple, you may burn your bridges before you have even begun, remember even A&R inboxes have a limited storage size and downloading is boring.
Look at it from the A&R point of view, would you want to constantly download files and clear your inbox from hundreds of mails with subjects reading;
“I want to be famous, please listen to my song attached”, or
“I am the best singer in the world, I have attached 5 songs for you to listen to”.
There must be a better way for both you (the artist) and the A&R. myspace is good because you can email a simple link to your myspace site, but even myspace is slow and clunky. The answer is to stream your own music so no download is required, and put it on your own website. Sound complicated? No my friend, it’s simple, and I will show you just how simple it is right now!
You need a free website builder that will allow you to enter HTML code. Two easy to use sites builders are: http://www.blogger.com/ and http://www.weebly.com/
Sign up with one of these and put a bit of info about you or your band along with contact details so the A&R person can contact you if they like what they hear!
Now sign up to fileden.com and upload your MP3. Once you have uploaded your MP3, fileden gives you a link url. This url is needed for the next step.
Go to: http://www.myflashfetish.com/myspace-mp3players.php and choose a player that you think looks nice and click ‘Create Now’. Click ‘Upload’ on the right and enter the song title and the URL you got from fileden.com. Scroll down a bit and enter a play list name ie. ‘Song for A&R to listen to’.
Click ‘save (get code)’ and the MP3 player will generate a few lines of HTML code.
Simple put that in the HTML of your free website. HTML is the language that programs use to generate a function or image. You will need to click ‘custom HTML’ to ‘go behind the scenes’ as it were and copy your MP3 HTML. It’s simple to do, literally copy it in and then switch back to the main view and hey presto, you have a streamed MP3!
So next time you email someone you can include a link to your web page and say something like, “as discussed earlier, I attach a link where you can listen to my song (streamed) and you can contact me if you like what you hear”.
Now that is much more acceptable!
